Peter has been working in the field of training, coaching and consultancy since 1991. He has acquired extensive experience in designing and delivering programs on communicaction skills, assertiveness, teambuilding, personal development and leadership.
From 2000 till 2006 he managed a training and assessment institute in Rotterdam (The Netherlands), where his team delivered custom-made training programs for the private and public sector.
From 2006 till 2008 he worked in Belgium, where he restructured a support centre for adult education redefining the mission and vision of the organization, upgraded the company values and created long-term action plan for further improvement.
In 2008 he joined Small Steps (China) and is now focusing on leadership and business coaching.
He holds an MA in Eastern Philology and International Development from the University of Ghent (Belgium), graduated in Business Administraion at the Higher Economic School of Rotterdam (The Nertherlands), was trained as trainer/coach at the Hogeschool Nijmegen (The Netherlands) and is a certified NLP Master Practitioner.
Zhang Dan
After finishing a technical degree in computer and applied science in Beijing in 2003.
Here she started her ongoing involvement as a volunteer at the Positive Art Workshop, developing painting programs and organizing exhibitions for HIV positive people with the aim to improve their livelihood. As a result of this work Zhang Dan was honored as Goodwill Ambassador by organizations including UNAIDS, UNICEF and dBeijing Patriotic Health Compaign Committee in April, 2006.
In 2004 Zhang Dan became actively involved in Small Steps Community as a project coordinator. Her first project was teaching computer classes at Gangfang primary school which then led to organizing theHIV/AIDS classed at Gangfang and at Bakeshiying elementary schools.
At Gangfang school she has been coordinating the Open Classroom program since its launch in 2007.
In the summer of 2008 Zhang Dan participated in a Teacher Academy organized by the Krishnamurti Foundation, US. The program involed participants from the US, Australia, Mexico and Brazil and focused on discussions about pedagogy and topics like fear, science, exploration, authority, freedom, perception etc.
Participation in this program has strengthened her focud and attention on education programs.
