in a positive way to prevent and address HIV/AIDS issues in China and globally

o The project is sponsored by the Ford Foundation and involves art workshops facilitated by a number of Chinese artists

oSmall Steps Community managed the project and was also engaged in organizing events and the selling of the artworks

oBeijing Huiling is a Chinese NGO (Non-governmental organisation) and NPO (Non-profit organisation) serving mentally 

disabled people. It aims to improve the quality of life of the mentally disabled people and their families 

o Small Steps organized visits of UK tourist groups which resulted in purchasing of the handicrafts made by Hui Ling 

residents as well as further financial support
